Newborn + Family Wardrobe

Dressing for your newborn session can be easy, and it can be planned out before baby even arrives! The more space for comfort, the better. A big sweater or flowing dress are 2 things that can look great in photos and provide comfort for your beautiful post partum body.

If you aren’t sure what to wear, stay neutral. Keep in mind what colors you want to hang in your home. Muted tones and neutrals always look good on mom and on baby, too! Their delicate skin can take on color from their outfit. Think creams, browns, beige.

Keep it simple.

Keep everyone’s outfits simple, but don’t hesitate to incorporate any special pieces or family traditions. We often skip the shoes for newborn sessions, so you don’t have to worry about those.

What I’ll bring:

I’ve got swaddles, blankets, onesies and a cute little baby crib that I’ll bring. Use it all, or use none of it. It’s just there in case we need it!

Above all, you’re going to walk away with a gallery full of beautiful images that will forever remind you of this sweet time and that’s what really matters.
